Jo lives in Hampshire, UK and took up painting lessons 5 years ago when she was diagnosed with a crippling neurological disorder. Having lost her mobility she relied upon her art lessons and painting at home to be a good therapy for overcoming anxiety and depression, often associated with long term chronic conditions.
She quickly found that her passion was for watercolour painting and loves to use vibrant colours and experiment with different colour combinations to present often quirky interpretations of local scenes and natural forms.
A passion for painting churches especially Winchester Cathedral and all things stone. Being around the cathedral in its vastness, or Stonehenge with its ancient history is very inspiring.
Jo's wish for the future is to continue to paint and progress with her painting and maybe to teach others about the joy and peace you feel when putting paint onto paper and creating something unique to you.
Jo has kept a blog about her experiences with living with Multiple Sclerosis which includes links to various different alternative therapies that can prove helpful. See the Links page.
